I love the tree coupled with the idea of standing up - the tree embodies that sort of solitary strength.

I witnessed a random act of kindness yesterday when a young girl picked up the sweater that a woman left behind in the airport terminal and ran after her to give it back! I love it!

When I stop near a tree, I imagine that it's taking in all my secrets, my failings, my hopes and dreams, my sorrows and struggles, and keeps them safely tucked away forever - then gives me in return a sense of beauty, wonder, peace, and happiness. Ah, those wonderful trees!"

Reminds me of an old homestead -- where the fruits of many years of hard labor are found not only in the material goods and possessions accumulated over a lifetime, but in the seeds from which grew the deep roots of an important story steeped in family history and tradition.

Resting one day each week is a way praying for guidance. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle explains why. Subatomic particles, electrons are normally very busy and fast moving. If we were to slow an electron down so that we could determine its precise location then the universe or "we" would require the amount of energy that one derives from the detonation of a nuclear bomb. When we slow our lives down, the universe must expend a similar amount of energy helping us achieve a peaceful and successful life. Rest means to completely cease from all monetary transactions (Stop buying groceries and things!), to stop gossiping about those around you (Be quiet for heavens sake!), to stop traveling to places outside the city in which you live (Put a damper on your travel!), and to stay away from public events such as live concerts (Rest your ears as well!). Once you get needed time for rest and reflection, your Creator may decide that you are to be rewarded in terms of peace in life as long as He feels that your day of rest was not only genuine, but done in honor of Him. The Creator made all in six days and rested on the seventh day and simply loves it when people do the same in honor of Him.
