After trying and giving all you can it is better to walk away.Otherwise you are just destroying yourself and spreading your unhappiness to all who surround you.Trust me I know.

So walk away from your marriage if it doesn't make you happy? Your Kids because they aren't making you happy? Hey friend, I have no further use for you because you don't make me happy. How about working on what isn't making you happy. This is simplistic and horrible advice

It's important to walk away from something in your life that no longer adds to living - sometimes, it's hard to break away from it, but once you do, you're free.

It may not always be easy to do but it will serve you better in the long run. You may find a strength you never knew you had.

Amen to that. This time of year brings much joy but, for some, is a reminder of those we've walked away from....maybe not so much the person, but what values that person possessed.

I really like this quote - i had to leave a job at work that I really loved as the person that i was working for treated me like crap. I didn't want to walk away and couldn't understand it at the time. 6 mths later and i realized that walking away was showing respect for myself.

The hardest part of keeping this rule is when one thing in your life is growing you while neither serving you nor making you happy. Growth Hurts!

Hard to remember this when you are in the thick of adversity - good reminder that what is not a predictor per se of what will be (or at least not in the limited way your current vision might think it will be)
