    Thank you for your attention and curiosity.Frankly speaking,the dissonance between this saying and E.Hemingway's personality didn't occur to me.I think,Hemingway was a wise man just neglecting the obvious rules of living a healthy life. I'm not surprised that Mariel ,his daughter, is a "health guru". She had a very vivid example of "what not to do".

I thought it must be Mariel Hemingway's quote, as she is a health and yoga "guru" and his grand daughter . Much to my surprise, I found via Googling that it is, indeed, Ernest Hemingway's quote. In full: "I still need more healthy rest in order to work at my best. My health is the main capital I have and I want to administer it intelligently." Wow.
