    "The happy feeling you'll have doing that (if you can) will do the trick." Bang on! The key is feeling happy while visualizing. If you don't, better don't visualize, and do something else that makes you feel happy.

    The tricky part in the visualization process is, in my opinion, believing that you already have the things you visualize for yourself. For example, feeling that you already have that mansion and seeing with your mind's eyes every single detail in it. The happy feeling you'll have doing that (if you can) will do the trick.

    It's true. But if affirmations or visualizations remind you of your lack, they can backfire. If I'm homeless and I visualize living in a mansion, most probably it would enrage me. Making peace with present and having a generally positive attitude is more helpful at such times.
