Now, we’re helping our clients take their health to the next level with this holistic and personalized approach.

Mental health is about more than treating symptoms

Your body and mind are unique. Your treatment should be too. Mindbloom Health takes a whole-body approach, focusing on the key elements that shape your emotional and cognitive health.

By examining in-depth lab results alongside your symptoms, we’ll uncover potential issues and opportunities to optimize your physical and mental health.

Together, we’ll assess:

  • 😴 Sleep: Quality sleep is foundational for energy, recovery, memory, focus, mood, and even immune function.
  • 💪 Hormones: Hormones like testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone regulate everything from mood to energy.
  • 🍎 Gut Health: The gut is called the "second brain" due to its extensive network of neurons and strong connection to the brain.
  • 🔋 Metabolism and Body Weight: Your brain is 2% of body weight but uses 20% of your energy—poor metabolic health disrupts cognition, focus, and mood.
  • ❤️ Cardiovascular Health: A strong cardiovascular system provides your brain with the oxygen and nutrients it needs to function effectively.
  • 🍑 Sexual Health: Sexual health and physical intimacy influence mood, confidence, and emotional connections.
  • 💊 Vitamin and Nutrient Levels: Deficiencies in essential vitamins and nutrients can lead to fatigue, brain fog, and mood instability.

Current treatments are falling short

Psychiatry often focuses narrowly on finding a clinical diagnosis and prescribing a drug to treat it. While psychiatric meds work for some, they fail to address underlying causes—and can come with major drawbacks.

Here’s what the data tells us about psychiatric medications:

  • Efficacy: Antidepressants don’t work very well—7 people need to take an antidepressant for 1 to achieve greater benefit compared to a placebo.
  • Side Effects: Around 40% of patients report side effects, such as sexual dysfunction, sleepiness, or weight gain.
  • Tolerance: Doses often increase over time, and some medications lose effectiveness after just a few months.
  • Long-Term Use: Nearly half of people using antidepressants have taken then them for 5+ years. Yet most drug trials for FDA approval last just 8-12 weeks.

Clearly, this one-size-fits-all approach isn't enough. Mental health needs to be personalized to each person's unique biology.

Mindbloom Health: How it works

Mindbloom Health goes beyond symptom management to address root causes and optimize health. Here’s how we work with you to create personalized care:

1. Comprehensive lab testing

We start by analyzing 80+ biomarkers using advanced lab testing. This uncovers hidden factors affecting your mood, energy, and cognitive function, such as hormone imbalances or nutrient deficiencies.

2. Video consult

Next, you’ll have a 60-minute video visit with your clinician to discuss symptoms and goals, review lab results, and identify actionable areas for improvement.

3. Personalized treatment

Your care plan may include:

  • Clinician-prescribed medications
  • Peptides
  • High-quality supplements
  • Lifestyle changes, such as dietary adjustments and sleep optimization

4. Follow-up and progress tracking

Your treatment evolves as you do. As-needed lab testing and follow-up appointments ensure your progress is monitored and continuously optimized.

Example follow-up timing:

  • Hormone optimization and weight management: Measure progress 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment. Once stabilized, follow up every 3–6 months or as directed by your clinician.
  • Vitamin levels: Recheck labs and meet with your clinician every 2–3 months until levels normalize, then every 6 months for maintenance.
  • Psychiatric medications: Schedule a follow-up appointment 1-2 months after starting or adjusting medication(s), then every 3–6 months once stable.
  • Occasional check-ins: For a general health review, get labs and follow-up every 6–12 months, or more frequently if specific concerns arise.

This entire process is built around your evolving needs—not a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach.
